What we teach
The focus of Kai Ming Association for Tai Chi Chuan is Cheng Man Ching style Tai Chi Chuan. With this in mind, we have decided to focus on the core 5 skills as we now see them and add other forms/elements as the grades progress higher. The 5 core skills are:
- 37 step Cheng Man Ching form
- Tui Shou (push hands)
- Si Zhen Shou (four fixed hands method of pushing)
- Da Lu (large roll-back)
- Huang’s 5 loosening exercises
In regular weekly classes, we focus on points 1 and 5 with the addition of Chi-Kung. In intermediate classes, we develop a greater understanding of all 5 areas thereby enable students to develop a more martial or health orientated approach that suits them.
Our syllabus also includes:
Hand forms
